Meet Me in the Garden

I was having a conversation with a friend last night about all of the ways in which this world requires healing. The system we are currently living under was clearly designed by a small group of deranged individuals who want us sick and disempowered. These people are “peace breakers”. As I mentioned in my previous post “Nuclear Apathy”, they are individuals who gain profit from breaking down and destroying the livelihoods and psyches of the populace.

The conclusion that my friend and I came to was that it is being disconnected from nature, and more prominently being disconnected from our own creative nature, which starves us. And it is reconnecting to nature and our highest creative potential, that feeds us.

I’ve noticed when I’m in the garden or outdoors exploring the forest I feel energized and alive. It cures me of every existing ailment. I recently had an epiphany of sorts regarding as to why I enjoy walking through the forest at night so much. It’s not the silence (it is mostly silent except the sound of an occasional fox or owl). But rather it’s the secrecy of it all. It’s become a secret place for me. While the world is sleeping, I get to jump in puddles between the trees, dance between shadows and light under the moon, and laugh when no one is listening. It is solace from a crazed and unsettled world.
